Miki Saito is an animal behavior and training consultant and specialize in training blind dogs (visually　impaired dogs). She works towards a world where "people take it for granted to make safer and kinder choices for animals". She provides opportunities for people in Japan to acquire the knowledge and perspective necessary to provide modern animal care and training based on science and high ethical standards. In addition to her work as a trainer and lecturer, she organises events with international animal professionals. Her students and clients range from dog trainers, veterinarians, vet techs, pet sitters, groomers, zoo and aquarium staff to dog owners. She writes articles for magazines in Japanese and English about helping and training blind dogs (visually impaired dogs). She opposes translating animal training into the Japanese words "しつけ shitsuke" and "調教 chokyo" because these words mean to make the learner just obey and allow people to use punitive methods, and suggests "Set your animals up for success".
